I recently bought a Celestron autoguider. It is supposed to make polar alignment and guiding simple because it is all in one package. The product installation was very easy. The auto guider fits into the starsense bracket. I tried to accomplish polar alignment on several nights to no avail. I followed on line instructions to the letter with no success. I finally went back to sharpcap to perform polar alignment.

As far as the autoguiding portion of the product it worked quite well. It was especially useful to be able to see what the auto guider was looking at,

After a year of usage the auto guider fauled to power up; pobably something in the connections or the controller board.

Bottom line. This product is too expensive and not reliable.
